Market & Game Performance
Dynamic ranking: Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ Jumps 68 Places as FC Mobile VN Returns to the Top 10
AppMagic data this week shows estimated total revenue among Vietnam’s Top 50 mobile games reaching approximately USD 983,000, down around 3.6% from the previous week. Six titles climbed at least 10 positions, with Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ recording particularly strong gains in both ranking and revenue. [1]
To reduce distortions caused by AppMagic splitting, consolidating, or renaming listings across platforms, comparisons were standardized at the game-title level. For titles appearing under multiple listings in the previous week, the highest-ranked listing was used for ranking comparisons; renamed listings identified as the same product were also not treated as New Entrants. [1]
Rank Spike: 6 Titles Record Significant Ranking Gains
The following titles climbed at least 10 positions compared with the previous week (October 12–18):
- FC Mobile VN: from #20 to #6, up 14 positions, with approximately USD 32,256 in revenue.
- Pets Harbor: Merge & Restore: from #59 to #25, up 34 positions, with approximately USD 15,513.
- Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ: from #94 to #26, up 68 positions, with approximately USD 15,401.
- Sky: Children of the Light: from #69 to #30, up 39 positions, with approximately USD 14,481.
- Chinh Phục Cửu Châu: from #42 to #32, up 10 positions, with approximately USD 13,582.
- Nhất Kiếm Phục Ma: from #90 to #50, up 40 positions, with approximately USD 10,573. [1]
FC Mobile VN returned to the Top 10 after ranking #20 the previous week, while four of the six Rank Spikes came from outside the Top 50. This suggests that most of the week’s sharp upward movement came from titles previously generating lower revenue, rather than a major reshuffling among the market leaders.
Revenue Spike: Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ Revenue Rises 146.5%
Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ was the only title this week to meet the Revenue Spike threshold. Revenue increased from approximately USD 6,249 in the previous week to USD 15,401 during October 19–25, equivalent to +146.46%, while its ranking climbed from #94 to #26. [1]
More than doubling its revenue while gaining 68 positions made Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ the most notable movement in this week’s ranking.
New Release: 2 New Titles Enter the Top 50
Two titles released within the past three months newly entered the Top 50 this week:
- Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ, at #26, with approximately USD 15,401 in revenue.
- Thế giới nước sinh tồn, at #39, with approximately USD 12,548. [1]
The fact that both new products entered the Top 40 shows how launch momentum can translate quickly into meaningful grossing-chart positions, although their ability to sustain these rankings beyond the initial launch period will need to be monitored in the weeks ahead.
Back-to-Top: 6 Titles Return to the Top 50
Six titles released more than three months ago returned to the Top 50:
- Pets Harbor: Merge & Restore, at #25, with approximately USD 15,513 in revenue.
- Cờ tướng ZingPlay, at #27, with approximately USD 15,393.
- Sky: Children of the Light, at #30, with approximately USD 14,481.
- Zenless Zone Zero, at #34, with approximately USD 13,414.
- Township – Thị trấn vui vẻ, at #49, with approximately USD 10,631.
- Nhất Kiếm Phục Ma, at #50, with approximately USD 10,573. [1]
Three of the six Back-to-Top titles also qualified as Rank Spikes, suggesting that a meaningful share of movement in the lower half of the ranking came from established products regaining enough momentum to return to the Top 50.
Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ Maintains Post-launch Momentum in Its First Full Week of Operation
Tarot: Vĩnh Hằng Thần Ngữ officially launched in Vietnam on October 15, shortly before the current reporting period. Its server-opening campaign featured substantial onboarding benefits, including up to 1,000 summons, 160,000 Diamonds, a login reward series, and Thiên Y A Na, an SSR Divine Spirit designed specifically for the Vietnamese market. The game also used multiple creator and KOL gift codes as part of its launch campaign. [2]
That momentum remained visible during October 19–25. Independent store-ranking data shows Tarot climbing from around #53 in grossing on October 19 to #27 on October 23, before holding around #32 on October 24–25. Public gift-code tracking sources also recorded additional codes associated with the game’s campaign on October 20 and another time-limited code active through October 24. [3][4]
AppMagic recording a 146.5% revenue increase during the same period as rising store rankings and continued post-launch activity suggests that launch incentives, onboarding rewards, and community/creator activation may have supported spending momentum during the game’s first full week of operation. However, the available data does not allow the contribution of each individual activity to be isolated, so no single factor can be identified as the direct cause of the overall increase.
New Releases & Major Updates: Three Titles Launch on Three Consecutive Days
Kỳ Tích Trở Lại Officially Launches on October 21
On October 21, Kỳ Tích Trở Lại officially launched in Vietnam. The fantasy MMORPG focuses on power progression, Boss hunting, equipment development, large-scale PvP, and trading, while singer Đan Trường and MC Mai Dora were selected as the two ambassadors for its launch campaign. [5]
The title continues to build on the progression- and competitive-power-driven MMORPG formula that is already familiar in the Vietnamese market. In a highly crowded segment, the more important signal after launch will be whether initial incentives can translate into sustainable retention and spending once the early acquisition push begins to ease.
Mộng Thiên Kiếm Moves into Full Operation on October 22
At 10:10 on October 22, Mộng Thiên Kiếm officially opened its servers. Published by DIGINEXT, the game uses a Hiệp Khách team-building system alongside multiple PvE, PvP, Guild, and progression activities. [6]
From launch day, the game also opened the cross-server Thiên Hạ Đệ Nhất – Tranh Bá Lực Chiến competition, running from October 22 to November 21 and rewarding the Top 100 players. Ahead of launch, the publisher also ran guild-recruitment activities, team-building campaigns, and gift-code distribution to establish its community early. [6]
Activating competitive progression from day one connects initial acquisition with social engagement and a power race. The model may support early monetization, but the product’s durability will ultimately depend on its ability to maintain engagement after these initial power-ranking competitions end.
Strinova VN Enters Vietnam’s PC Market on October 23
On October 23, Strinova VN officially launched in Vietnam. Developed by iDreamSky, the tactical TPS is distinguished by its Stringify mechanic, which lets characters switch between 3D and 2D states to change how they move, evade attacks, and interact with terrain. [7]
Ahead of launch, Gzone opened pre-registration and pre-download from October 13, followed by early access on October 20 and the official release on October 23. [7]
In Vietnam’s highly competitive PC shooter market, Strinova adopts relatively clear differentiation through its Anime/ACG visual identity and an easily recognizable core mechanic. Staging the rollout from pre-registration to early access and then full launch also gives the publisher multiple touchpoints before transitioning players into live operations.
Esports & Community
Esports Highlights & Tournament Updates: FC Mobile Vietnam Makes Its Mark on the World Stage
Phạm Anh Tú Finishes Joint Third at the FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026
On October 25, Vietnamese player Phạm Anh Tú, competing under the name FPLxChanh, finished joint third at the FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026 in Seoul and earned USD 20,000 in prize money. [8]
Vietnam sent four representatives to the tournament, but Anh Tú advanced the furthest. After progressing through the group stage and knockout rounds, he was eliminated in the semifinals following a match against a Thai representative. [8]
The result places a Vietnamese competitor among the leading players at the inaugural FC Mobile World Championship. While one individual result is not enough to indicate a long-term shift across the entire ecosystem, Vietnamese players consistently reaching the later stages of international tournaments could help increase the visibility of the local competitive scene among fans, sponsors, and publishers.
Community Events & Long-term LiveOps: Võ Lâm Truyền Kỳ Mobile Marks 10 Years of Operation
On October 25, Võ Lâm Truyền Kỳ Mobile held its Võ Lâm Thượng Đỉnh offline celebration at GEM Center in Ho Chi Minh City, marking 10 years of operation in Vietnam. The program featured community appreciation activities, performances, recognition of long-standing players, and updates on the game’s future content roadmap. [9]
The event also combined in-game and out-of-game rewards with exclusive content for attendees. [9]
For a live-service title that has operated for a decade, an offline anniversary serves more than a short-term communications purpose: it can reinforce social identity and community attachment. This is one of the mechanisms through which a long-running IP can remain relevant even as new products continuously enter the market.
Industry & Business Developments
Studios, Publishers & Partnerships: GAM Esports Becomes a VCT 2027 Partner Team
On October 20, GAM Esports announced that it had been selected as a partner team for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2027, representing Vietnam within VCT Pacific. GAM joins Crazy Raccoon, FULL SENSE, Gen.G, Paper Rex, Rex Regum Qeon, T1, and ZETA DIVISION as one of the region’s eight partner teams. [10][11]
According to GAM, the selection places Vietnam within the VCT partnership structure for the new cycle, while the organization will build its VALORANT roster and operational team for the 2027 season. [10]
From an industry perspective, the move represents more than the addition of a new roster. A Vietnamese esports organization securing a position within a global partnership structure can increase the market’s visibility among sponsors, publishers, and international partners while expanding the commercial opportunities surrounding VALORANT in Vietnam.
Featured Vietnamese Studios: LotaSoft Brings Vietnamese History into an RPG Match-3 Format with Cờ Lau Loạn Thế
On October 22, Cờ Lau Loạn Thế was introduced as a title developed by Vietnamese studio LotaSoft. The game uses a Vietnamese historical setting, a chibi visual style, and turn-based combat combined with match-3 mechanics rather than relying entirely on the auto-battle structure common across many mobile RPGs. [12]
LotaSoft’s product page also confirms Cờ Lau Loạn Thế as part of the company’s game portfolio. [13]
It remains too early to assess commercial performance, but the combination of a local cultural setting with a globally familiar mechanic represents an interesting differentiation strategy for Vietnamese studios. Rather than competing directly with the crowded fantasy and Three Kingdoms themes, locally rooted cultural IP can offer a distinct identity if it is translated effectively into gameplay and art direction.
